Yacht Management - Description
of Services
Vessel Administration & Accounting – PartnerShips
maintains a separate account for each vessel in
its fleet. Working from an annual budget agreed
upon with the captain and yacht owner, the management
team will administer expenditures against specific
categories, pay bills and reconcile bank statements
and credit cards with monthly, quarterly and annual
reporting. Our management Software (Triton Administrator)
can be installed on board for efficient daily
entries by the crew with transmittal to the office
via email.
Crew Administration & Management – Our
management team will interview prospective yacht
crew and perform reference checking, license and
documentation verification, and employment verification
to help the owner build a top notch crew. On an
ongoing basis, we will administer crew contracts
(Flag Approved), payroll, withholding taxes (when
applicable), and health insurance. Yacht management
can also provide crew training and trouble-shooting
for crew issues, providing a buffer between the
crew and owner.
Technical Consulting – Working
with the owner, captain and yacht crew in the
selection and monitoring of vendors, contractors
and shipyards worldwide, yacht management will
help to align maintenance and repair work with
the budget and cruising itinerary. Our yacht manager
will conduct a periodic review of vessel upkeep,
and planned maintenance schedule, including oversight
and coordination of Flag State and Classification
Society compliance and other issues affecting
safety and vessel operation. When required, the
yacht management team will assist with the handling
of insurance claims.
Worldwide Logistical Support – Spares,
chandlery, purveying and fuel bunkering. The yacht
management team is available 24/7 to Captains
and Owners, and can give assistance with everything
from dockage to voyage planning to securing travel
visas.
ISM/ISPS Code Compliance – The
International Safety Management Code (ISM), is
a certified, quality and safety management system
(SMS) initially developed for the commercial shipping
industry and customized to the needs of yachting
and each specific yacht. This safety management
system gives the utmost assurance of a continuous
cycle of improvement in quality and safety. The
International Ship and Port Facility Security
Code (ISPS) addresses the additional requirements
for security of the yacht and her guests and crew.
Vessel IT (Information
Technology) Support – Due to the
complexity of computer systems and the operational
and communications requirements a specialized,
custom service is offered bringing continuity
and expertise. Billed either on an hourly basis,
or depending on the complexity of the system
and/or network, monthly pricing with defined
support is available.
